Houston Weather at 10 A.M.: 71 and Mainly Clear, Drizzle Code 53 Back for Both Friday and Halloween, Election Day Thunderstorms Hold at 63 Percent
The late-morning feed is warmer and wetter than dawn's: the last early-voting day and trick-or-treat night both carry drizzle, and Tuesday's storm code has not moved.

HOUSTON - Houston stood at 71.4 degrees, feeling like 72.7, under mainly clear skies on the station's live weather feed read at about 10:06 a.m. Friday, the final day of early voting in Texas. Friday's own forecast moved again: the day is back on drizzle code 53, with a high of 76.5 degrees, a low of 65.7 and a rain chance of 41 percent - the highest Friday figure of the morning, up from 33 percent at the 8 a.m. read. Voters heading out for the last early-voting day should expect a mild day that can turn damp.
Halloween Saturday flipped back with it. The rain code the feed cleared at 8 a.m. is restored: Saturday now carries drizzle code 53 at 79.2 degrees over 68.2, with a rain chance of 39 percent. In plain terms, the feed once again calls Halloween damp - lighter than the 47 percent chance it carried at dawn, but a wet costume plan is back on the table for trick-or-treating on Saturday evening.
The rest of the week held its shape around two warm days. Sunday is fog code 45 and hot at 87.3 degrees with an 8 percent rain chance, Monday is overcast at 85.6 with a 3 percent chance, and Election Day Tuesday keeps thunderstorm code 95 at 80.4 degrees with a 63 percent rain chance - still the highest figure in the seven-day feed. Wednesday and Thursday both clear to code 0, at 77.8 and 80.6 degrees. The Weather Desk updates the file as the feed moves.
