Houston Weather at 6 A.M.: 65 and Overcast, Friday's Drizzle Code Is Gone at a High of 76, Halloween Still Carries Rain Code 61 at 47 Percent
The morning feed takes Friday's drizzle away entirely - and leaves the week's two wet days, Halloween and Election Day, exactly where they were.

HOUSTON - Houston stood at 65.2 degrees, feeling like 67.4, under overcast code 3 skies on the station's live weather feed read at about 6:10 a.m. Friday, the final day of early voting in Texas. Friday itself is the morning's change: the drizzle codes the night carried for today - light drizzle 51 at midnight, moderate drizzle 53 at 4 a.m. - are gone from the feed, replaced by plain overcast code 3, a high of 76 degrees, a low of 64.9 and a rain chance of 24 percent. Voters heading to the last early-voting day get a grey day, not a wet one.
Halloween Saturday did not move. The feed still carries rain code 61 for Saturday at 78.2 degrees over 64.7, with a 47 percent rain chance - the upgrade from drizzle to rain that the 4 a.m. read first showed, held through the morning. Trick-or-treat planning in Houston should still assume actual rain showers are possible Saturday evening, not just mist.
The rest of the week held its shape. Sunday stays overcast and warm at 85.2 degrees with a 6 percent rain chance, Monday is the week's warm day at 87.1 with a 4 percent chance, and Election Day Tuesday keeps thunderstorm code 95 at 78.6 degrees with a 68 percent rain chance - the highest figure in the seven-day feed for the third straight read. Wednesday clears to code 0 at 77 degrees, and Thursday returns to overcast at 80. The Weather Desk updates the file as the feed moves.
