Houston Traffic on Monday Midday: I-10's Pederson Road Ramps in Brookshire Are Shut Until 3, the South Loop Frontage Closes at the West Loop Until 5, and the West Loop Narrows at Night Through Friday

HOUSTON - Waller County drivers get midday's widest closure. Houston TranStar's construction report posts the I-10 westbound entrance ramp from Pederson Road and the exit ramp to Pederson Road in Brookshire under total closure daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 4, with TranStar's detour sending westbound drivers to the next exit, Igloo Road.

Inside the city, the South Loop's eastbound frontage road at the West Loop South entrance ramp is totally closed on Monday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. TranStar's detour: enter the I-610 eastbound mainlanes, exit at Stella Link and U-turn back to the desired street. On the Katy corridor, one inside lane of the I-10 eastbound frontage road from Patterson Street to Heights Boulevard is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday.

Tonight's item is the West Loop: two inside lanes of I-610 northbound from Woodway Drive to Old Katy Road close nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. through the morning of Friday, Nov. 6 - the window that catches late-evening cross-town trips, not either rush hour's peak.

And an Election Day heads-up from the same report: on Tuesday, Nov. 3, one inside lane of each of the I-10 Katy westbound exit ramps to Bingle Road / Voss and to Campbell Road closes from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. - mid-morning voting hours on the west side.
