Houston Weather at Noon: 75 and Overcast, Friday's Drizzle Chance Climbs to 46 Percent, Halloween Eases to 34, Election Day Storms Hold at 63
The midday feed warmed Houston to 75.2 degrees and raised the last early-voting day's rain chance to its highest mark of the day, while trick-or-treat night's number slipped.

HOUSTON - Houston stood at 75.2 degrees, feeling like 76.2, under overcast skies on the station's live weather feed read at about 12:06 p.m. Friday, the final day of early voting in Texas. Friday's own forecast carries drizzle code 53 with a high of 76.5 degrees, a low of 65.7 and a rain chance of 46 percent - the highest Friday figure of the day, up from 41 percent at the 10 a.m. read and 33 percent at 8 a.m. Voters heading out for the last early-voting hours should expect a mild afternoon that can turn damp.
Halloween Saturday moved the other way. The day stays on drizzle code 53 at 79.2 degrees over 68.2, but its rain chance eased to 34 percent from 39 percent at mid-morning - still a wet-costume plan for trick-or-treating Saturday evening, just a lighter one than the feed was calling for at dawn, when the chance stood at 47 percent.
The rest of the week held its shape. Sunday is fog code 45 and hot at 87.3 degrees with an 8 percent rain chance, Monday is overcast at 85.6 with a 3 percent chance, and Election Day Tuesday keeps thunderstorm code 95 at 80.4 degrees with a 63 percent rain chance - unchanged across five straight reads and still the highest figure in the seven-day feed. Wednesday and Thursday both clear to code 0, at 77.8 and 80.6 degrees. The Weather Desk updates the file as the feed moves.
