Houston Traffic for the Monday PM Drive: Brookshire's Pederson Ramps Close Daily Through Wednesday, and Three Big Thursday-Night Closures Are Now on TranStar's Board
Tonight's drive runs on the standing work, but TranStar's board fills in the week: I-10's Pederson Road ramps in Brookshire close totally, 9 to 3 daily through Wednesday; the Katy frontage loses a lane at Patterson today and tomorrow; and Thursday night starts three heavy items - the I-10 East connector to the East Loop, five outside Katy lanes at Silber, and a continuous Main-to-Almeda total closure that runs to Monday morning.

HOUSTON - The PM drive itself inherits the week's standing lanes, but Houston TranStar's construction report is really about the days stacking up behind tonight. Furthest west, the I-10 entrance ramp from Pederson Road and the exit ramp to Pederson Road in Brookshire are under total closure daily from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 4 - TranStar's detour sends westbound drivers to the next exit, Igloo Road.
Closer in, one inside lane of the I-10 Katy eastbound frontage road from Patterson Street to Heights Boulevard is closed daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Tuesday - the frontage squeeze that pushes Heights-area trips onto the mainlanes at the busiest hours.
Thursday night is the week's hinge, with three separate starts. The I-10 East eastbound connector ramp to the I-610 East Loop closes totally, nightly 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. from Thursday, Nov. 5 to Saturday, Nov. 7; TranStar's detour keeps drivers on I-610 southbound to exit Turning Basin Drive and use its U-turn for I-610 North. On the Katy, five outside lanes eastbound from Silber Road to the I-610 West Loop / US 290 direct connect close overnight Thursday 9 p.m. to Friday 5 a.m., with the connector ramp to that direct connect totally closed the same night - detour onward on I-10 to exit 764, U-turn, and take exit 762B for I-610.
And the longest single item on the board: the northbound lanes from Main Street to Almeda on the US-59 / I-69 corridor close totally and continuously from 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 5 to 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, with TranStar routing traffic off at Exit 127B (Spur 527) via Richmond Avenue and Wheeler Avenue, Hutchins Street and McGowen Street. All five items are TranStar's posted construction schedule, and all are subject to change with weather or emergency work.
