Houston's Thursday Runs Overcast at 65.3 Degrees; Sunday Jumps to 88.6 While Election Day's High Falls Six Degrees to 76.7
The morning feed makes three moves: Friday's rain chance ticks up to 11 percent, Sunday becomes the week's hottest day at 88.6, and Tuesday's storm day cools sharply - its high down from 82.7 to 76.7, its hail-risk code unchanged.

HOUSTON - Houston's Thursday is under way overcast at 65.3 degrees, feeling like 68.3, on the station's live Open-Meteo feed, heading for a high of 78.7 with a rain chance of just 3 percent. Friday, the final day of early voting, runs 76.7 with a low of 61.5. Both days remain the driest appointments on the board, and voters heading to any of Harris County's early voting sites today or tomorrow should not need an umbrella.
The feed's edits since dawn all sit beyond Friday. Friday's own rain chance inched up again, from 10 percent in the early-morning read to 11 percent - still dry, still trending the same direction. Saturday's Halloween rain day is unchanged: rain, code 61, a high of 85.8 and a 54 percent rain chance. Sunday is where the warmth moved - its high jumped two and a half degrees to 88.6, now the hottest reading of the seven days, with Monday close behind at 87.5 and both days' rain chances back in single digits.
Tuesday is the other mover, in the opposite direction. Election Day still carries code 96 - thunderstorm with a hail risk - and the week's highest rain chance at 56 percent, but its forecast high has fallen six full degrees since the pre-dawn read, from 82.7 to 76.7, with a mild low of 70.0. A cooler storm day is still a storm day: the standing advice holds. Vote Thursday or Friday if you can, dress Saturday's trick-or-treaters for rain, and give Tuesday's trip to the polls extra time.
