Texans Lose Marks to a Knee Injury and Noel to Turf Toe in Giants Loss
Sunday's 27-21 overtime loss to the Giants cost the Texans more than a game: running back Woody Marks left with an apparent left knee injury, and head coach DeMeco Ryans said wide receiver Jaylin Noel has a turf toe injury and is wearing a boot.

Houston Texans running back Woody Marks left Sunday's game with an apparent left knee injury when he was bent backward by New York Giants linebacker Micah McFadden, Field Level Media reported. Marks was hit below the knees as his left cleat stayed planted, twisting the knee; he was ruled down by contact before the ball came loose on a play that was at first thought to be a fumble and a defensive touchdown for the Giants.
Marks walked off the field under his own power and briefly went into the blue medical tent on the Texans' sideline. Dare Ogunbowale replaced him, with Week 1 starter David Montgomery inactive. Marks had 13 carries for 49 yards when he left the field.
The receiving room took a hit too. Head coach DeMeco Ryans said wide receiver Jaylin Noel suffered a turf toe injury in the loss and is currently wearing a boot on his foot, TWSN reported, citing Underdog NFL. Noel entered the week with 17 catches for 334 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 19.6 yards per reception — the big-play option in a room that had just added Marvin Harrison Jr. by trade and welcomed Tank Dell back from his knee injury.
Neither report read Sunday evening announced a timetable for Marks or Noel. The injuries land on a Texans team that fell to 2-5 with the overtime loss at home, published by this station Sunday afternoon.
