Giants Beat Texans 27-21 in Overtime on Singletary's Walk-Off Touchdown
Houston tied the game with 52 seconds left in the fourth quarter, but Cam Skattebo's 42-yard run in overtime set up former Texan Devin Singletary's walk-off touchdown as New York won 27-21 in Houston on Sunday, dropping the Texans to 2-5.

The Houston Texans forced overtime on Sunday and lost it in two snaps. After Houston went three-and-out to open the extra period, Cam Skattebo ran 42 yards to the Houston 30 on the Giants' second snap of overtime, and former Texan Devin Singletary ran the rest of the way to the end zone on the next play, giving the New York Giants a 27-21 victory with only 2:35 gone in overtime, NBC Sports reported. Singletary finished with five carries for 41 yards and the game-winning touchdown.
Houston had tied the game at 21 with 52 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, when Xavier Hutchinson caught a 3-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Stroud on third down, Reuters reported. Stroud completed 17 of 28 passes for 153 yards and two touchdowns. Tank Dell, playing his first game since December 2024, caught a 43-yard pass and added a 14-yard punt return, and Woody Marks carried 19 times for 66 yards, NBC Sports reported. Ka'imi Fairbairn kept Houston in the game early with first-half field goals of 57 and 58 yards.
Skattebo, who had no touches last week, had 18 touches for 124 rushing yards and a touchdown, and his longest run of his career set up the overtime winner, NBC Sports reported. J.J. McCarthy, making his first start for the Giants, completed 20 of 28 passes for 252 yards, and Malik Nabers caught seven passes for 111 yards. New York outgained Houston 420 to 237 and ran 34 times for 188 yards, but missed first-half field goals of 44 and 56 yards by Dominic Zvada kept the game close, NBC Sports reported.
The win moved the Giants to 4-2-1 in McCarthy's first start with the team, while the Texans fell to 2-5, a record NBC Sports said likely ends Houston's postseason hopes. Houston's halftime file (SQ-20261025-023) had the game tied 14-14 at the break; this final file closes the Texans' Sunday. The Rockets' Monday rematch with Atlanta at Toyota Center is the next Houston home date on the station's sports calendar.
