Houston Weather at 3 A.M.: 72 Degrees, and the Fog Is Back on Sunday and Monday Ahead of Tuesday's Storms
The overnight feed has reversed itself: the fog that was gone at 1 a.m. is back on both Sunday and Monday, Monday's high drops to 79, and Tuesday's Election Day thunderstorms sit at 85 percent. Clocks fell back at 2 a.m.

HOUSTON - The fog is back. The station's live feed reads 71.6 degrees at 3 a.m., feeling like 78.8 under clear code 0 skies overhead, but the forecast underneath has changed materially since the 1 a.m. file: Sunday now carries code 45 - fog - with a high of 82.1, a low of 69.2 and a rain chance of 7 percent, reversing the clearer Sunday the feed showed two hours ago.
Monday now carries the fog code too: code 45, a high of 78.7 - cooler than any recent file - a low of 70.0 and a rain chance of 13 percent. Drivers on the early Monday commute should plan for the same slow, low-visibility start the feed now shows on both days.
Tuesday remains the week's weather story: code 96 thunderstorms, a high of 80.6, a low of 66.8 and a rain chance of 85 percent - an Election Day washout risk that has held in every file since Saturday. Wednesday stays overcast at 80.2 with the rain chance falling to 35 percent, Thursday clears to code 0 at 81.5, and Friday and next Saturday return to overcast and the low-to-mid 80s.
One clock note for the overnight hours: daylight saving time ended at 2 a.m. Sunday, so the 1 a.m. hour repeated and Houston is now on standard time. Sunrise and sunset both shift an hour earlier on the clock from Sunday onward.
