Montgomery County Early Voting Tops 137,255 Through Tuesday - Two Days Left, 7-to-7 Hours, Any Location in the County
More than 137,000 Montgomery County voters have already cast ballots in the November 3 joint election, 129,395 of them in person - and with early voting ending Friday, the county's ten locations are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for the final two days.

CONROE - Montgomery County's early-voting surge has passed 137,000 ballots. Through Tuesday, October 27, a total of 137,255 ballots had been counted in the county's November 3 joint election, according to the unofficial daily early voting counts released by the county and reported by the Montgomery County Police Reporter - 129,395 of them cast in person at the county's early voting locations. Governor Greg Abbott visited the city of Montgomery on Wednesday as the milestone was reported; the sources read for this file reported the visit itself, not remarks from it.
The practical picture for the county's remaining voters is simple. Early voting runs through Friday, October 30, and the final two days carry the longest hours of the period: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday and Friday at all ten locations, which include the George and Cynthia Woods Mitchell Library in The Woodlands, the Central Library in Conroe, the Magnolia Event Center Annex, the Kevin Brady Library and Community Center in Spring, and centers in Willis, Montgomery, New Caney and Splendora.
Montgomery County voters may cast an early ballot at any of the county's locations, not just the one nearest home, and the county elections department posts sample ballots for the joint election - the ballot that pairs the statewide races, including the Paxton-Talarico U.S. Senate contest, with county and local questions. Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, when voting moves to precinct polling places.
The county's pace tracks the state's: through the same Tuesday, Texas had recorded 5,664,689 early ballots - already more than the whole of 2022's early voting - with neighboring Harris County leading the state at 760,551, as this station reported in tonight's statewide file.
