Houston Wednesday Midday: 75.9 and Partly Cloudy, the High Revised Up to Near 80, and the Weekend Heat Still Coming
Late morning has warmed faster than the early files expected - 75.9 degrees, feeling like 81.8, under partly cloudy skies - and the station's live feed now puts Wednesday's high at 79.7 before the dry Thursday, the drizzly Friday and the 88-to-90-degree weekend.

Houston's Wednesday keeps warming ahead of schedule. The station's live weather feed (Open-Meteo), read at midday, showed 75.9 degrees under partly cloudy skies - weather code 2 - with the air feeling like 81.8, and the day's high has been revised up to 79.7 with a low of 68 and only a 6 percent rain chance. That is a warmer Wednesday than the mid-morning file's 77.9-degree top, after a dawn that started overcast.
Thursday stays dry and a touch cooler at the edges, with a high of 78, a low of 64.3 and a 5 percent rain chance. Friday brings the week's first rain signal - drizzle, code 51 - with a high of 77.8, a low now down to 64.3 and a 10 percent rain chance, a cooler night than earlier reads suggested.
The weekend remains the headline. Saturday - Halloween - jumps to 88.5 with a low of 71.1 and a 40 percent rain chance, and Sunday turns hotter and drier at 90.1 with a low of 74 and a 5 percent chance. The break arrives behind it: the feed shows thunderstorms, code 95, on Monday (high 89.4, rain chance 16) and Tuesday (high 76.4 - a 13-degree drop - with the week's highest rain chance at 41). The station will update the Halloween rain picture on the evening file as Saturday's chances firm up.
