Houston's Wednesday has changed its mind since dawn. The station's live weather feed (Open-Meteo), read mid-morning, showed 69.5 degrees under clear skies - code 0 - with the air feeling like 74.8, a clear break from the overcast start the station's early files described. Wednesday tops out at 77.9 with a low of 67.9 and only a 6 percent rain chance.

Thursday stays in the same dry pattern, with a high of 78.2, a cooler low of 64.5 and a 5 percent rain chance. Friday brings the week's first rain signal - drizzle, code 51 - with a high of 77.8, a warm low of 71.5 and a 9 percent rain chance.

The weekend is the story now. Saturday jumps to 88.5 with a low of 71.1 and a 41 percent rain chance - the highest of the week, landing on Halloween - before Sunday turns hotter and dries back out at 90.1 with a low of 74 and a 6 percent chance. The heat does not last: the feed shows thunderstorms, code 95, on both Monday (high 89.4, rain chance 21) and Tuesday (high 76.4, rain chance 40), a sharp cool-down behind the storms. The station will update the Halloween rain picture on the evening file as Saturday's chances firm up.
