Houston Weather at 9 P.M.: 74.5 Degrees and Partly Cloudy - Election Day Cools to 80.5, Rain Chance 84 Percent
Houston is at 74.5 degrees under partly cloudy skies on Sunday night. The feed has cut Election Day's high by nearly seven degrees since the 7 p.m. read - Tuesday now tops out at 80.5 - while keeping it the week's one serious rain day at an 84 percent chance.

HOUSTON - Houston stood at 74.5 degrees under partly cloudy skies (code 2) at 9 p.m. on Sunday, feeling like 79, according to the station's live weather feed - down from 78 degrees and clear at the 7 p.m. read, at the end of a Sunday that peaked at 83.1 with a low of 70.1 and a rain chance that never rose above 7 percent.
Monday remains the last fully dry day in the feed: overcast (code 3), a high of 81.9 and a low of 69.2, with the rain chance at 5 percent.
Tuesday - Election Day - has changed materially in the evening reads. The feed now puts Tuesday's high at 80.5, down sharply from 87.2 at 7 p.m., with the low at 69.9, the code strengthened from drizzle (51) to a rain code (53), and the rain chance eased only slightly, from 86 to 84 percent. Cooler does not mean drier: it remains the week's one serious rain day by a wide margin, and it lands on the day every remaining Harris County voter needs a vote center, with polls open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. - the morning updates will matter before heading out.
The rest of the week is little changed at the front and different at the end: Wednesday is overcast at 79.5 and 65.1 with an 18 percent rain chance, Thursday is clear (code 0) at 83.1 and 65.1, Friday is overcast at 82.8 and 68.8, and Saturday now carries a thunderstorm code (95) at 82 and 70.3 with a 14 percent rain chance. No day after Tuesday carries a rain chance above 18 percent.
