Houston Dash Close the Regular Season Sunday Against Portland at Shell Energy Stadium
The Dash finish the 2026 regular season at home on Sunday afternoon, hosting the Portland Thorns at 4 p.m. CT at Shell Energy Stadium for Fan Appreciation Night - a week after closing their road slate with a 3-1 win in Chicago.

HOUSTON - The Houston Dash play their final regular-season match of 2026 on Sunday, and they play it at home. Houston hosts the Portland Thorns FC at Shell Energy Stadium, with kickoff set for 4 p.m. CT on what the club is celebrating as Fan Appreciation Night.
The Dash arrive with some momentum for this point in a season. Their final road match, on October 23 in Chicago, was a 3-1 win over Chicago Stars FC - the club's ninth victory of the season - and Houston took seven points from its last three road matches under interim head coach Jaime Frias. The Dash's last home outing was tighter and went the other way, a 2-1 loss to the Orlando Pride on October 18.
Sunday's match is Decision Day across the NWSL, with the league's regular season concluding on the same afternoon - the stage the Dash's own schedule announcement set back in January, when the finale against Portland was circled as the closing date of the home calendar.
It is a doubleheader day for Houston soccer fans: after the Dash finish at Shell Energy Stadium, Houston Dynamo FC plays its own Sunday match on the road, at the Portland Timbers on Sunday night.
