Cowboys vs Cardinals Score: Dallas Leads Arizona 27-17 Late in the Fourth Quarter in Arlington (SPACE CITY DAILY)

ARLINGTON - The Dallas Cowboys led the Arizona Cardinals 27-17 late in the fourth quarter on Sunday at AT&T Stadium, with Brandon Aubrey's 35-yard field goal with 3:54 left standing as the latest score in the live coverage read this cycle. The quarter line told the shape of the afternoon: Dallas 7, 7, 3 and 10; Arizona 0, 3, 7 and 7.

Dallas's first touchdown was a bounce of the ball. Linebacker Shemar James intercepted a deflected Jacoby Brissett pass and returned it to the Arizona five, and when Javonte Williams fumbled at the goal line under a Budda Baker hit, the ball rolled into the end zone, where tight end James Mitchell - elevated from the practice squad on Saturday - recovered it for the score. Dak Prescott then drove Dallas 85 yards in 12 plays and found Ryan Flournoy for a nine-yard touchdown and a 14-0 lead, before a Chad Ryland field goal put Arizona on the board and an Aubrey miss from 61 yards closed the half at 14-3.

Arizona changed quarterbacks to change the game. Brissett, sacked four times, finished 10-for-23 for 119 yards and the interception before Gardner Minshew replaced him in the third quarter; two plays later Tyler Allgeier broke a 63-yard touchdown run to cut the lead to 17-10. Prescott answered with a five-yard touchdown run, Allgeier answered that with a 52-yard run and a five-yard touchdown catch from Minshew on an 80-yard drive, and Aubrey's late field goal restored the two-score margin at 27-17.

The Cardinals played the second half shorthanded in the backfield: Jeremiyah Love was ruled out with an ankle injury, receiver Kendrick Bourne with a high ankle sprain and Bam Knight with a concussion, leaving Allgeier as Arizona's only healthy active running back - and he carried the comeback almost alone. Dallas entered the game 3-4 and Arizona 2-5, in a Week 8 meeting of two teams trying to keep their seasons pointed the right way.
