Commanders Score 27 Unanswered to Beat the Eagles 27-10 as Jayden Daniels Wins Again at Last
Philadelphia led 10-0 in the first quarter on Sunday night in Landover. It never scored again. Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and a touchdown, Washington's defense sacked Tanner McKee five times, and the Commanders' 27-10 win was Daniels's first as a starter in nearly 13 months - and the Eagles' sixth straight loss.

LANDOVER, Md. - The Washington Commanders shut out the Philadelphia Eagles over the final three quarters of a 27-10 Sunday night win, scoring 27 unanswered points after falling behind 10-0 in the first quarter, the Associated Press reported.
Jayden Daniels threw for 217 yards and a touchdown on 16-of-29 passing, and won as a starter for the first time since beating the Los Angeles Chargers on Oct. 5, 2025. His 8-yard touchdown pass to Stefon Diggs in the second quarter tied the game at 10, and Washington (2-4-1) led 13-10 at halftime. Drew Stevens kicked four field goals for the Commanders, including a 56-yarder late in the first quarter.
Philadelphia's early promise - capped by Saquon Barkley's 3-yard touchdown run for the 10-0 lead - dissolved against Washington's pass rush. The Commanders sacked Tanner McKee five times and intercepted him once, holding the Eagles to 268 yards, just 199 of them before a final drive with the result settled. McKee, starting for the third time in place of the injured Jalen Hurts, threw for 212 yards without a touchdown, and Barkley was held to 30 yards on 13 carries.
The loss is Philadelphia's sixth straight, the franchise's longest skid since 2012, and drops the Eagles to 2-6. Washington remains in the hunt in a weak NFC East, two games behind the first-place New York Giants. The Eagles host the Giants next Sunday; the Commanders host the Los Angeles Rams.
