Vance Brings the Closing-Week Push to Weatherford on Thursday as Trump Rallies for Graham in South Carolina
The Republican blitz splits in two on Thursday: the vice president works Texas - where early voting ends Friday - while the president headlines in Rock Hill for a Senate race the polls now call a tie.

WEATHERFORD - Vice President JD Vance brings the Republican closing-week push to Texas on Thursday, with a rally in Weatherford, the Parker County seat west of Fort Worth. As Audacy reported and iHeart carried, the visit is part of the party's effort in the U.S. Senate contest and in several competitive congressional districts in South Texas - and it lands on the second-to-last day of early voting, which ends Friday, ahead of Election Day on Tuesday, November 3.
President Donald Trump works the other end of the map the same day. The Republican National Committee has set his Thursday rally for Sen. Darline Graham at the Rock Hill Sports & Event Center in South Carolina - doors at 9 a.m., the event at 11 a.m., and Trump scheduled to speak at 12:30 p.m., his third campaign trip to the state this cycle. Graham, appointed to the seat after the death of her brother, Sen. Lindsey Graham, faces Democrat Annie Andrews for the term beginning in January, and the race has tightened: a New York Times/Siena poll of 707 South Carolina voters put the two at 48 percent each, and the nonpartisan Cook Political Report moved the race from likely Republican to lean Republican on October 20.
Thursday's split is the shape of the whole closing week. Trump's road runs from Wednesday's rally in Chillicothe, Ohio, through Rock Hill, then Daytona Beach on Friday, Salina, Kansas, on Saturday and Dubuque, Iowa, on Sunday - with a White House stop Thursday evening for the annual Halloween event with First Lady Melania Trump between legs. Vance's Texas stop puts the ticket's other name in the state whose Senate race could help decide control of the chamber, one day before its early polls close.
