Rays vs. Brewers in World Series Game 2 Saturday Night, Rasmussen Against Henderson
Milwaukee took Game 1 of the World Series 3-2 on Friday night. In Game 2 on Saturday night at American Family Field, Tampa Bay turns to Drew Rasmussen to even the series before it heads to Florida, while Logan Henderson starts for a Brewers club playing its first World Series in 44 years.

Game 2 of the World Series is set for Saturday night at American Family Field in Milwaukee, with first pitch at 7 p.m. CT on Fox, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's game-day guide. Milwaukee leads the best-of-seven series 1-0 after a 3-2 win in Friday's opener, when Jacob Misiorowski earned the win with five innings of one-run ball and William Contreras went 2-for-3 with an RBI, Bleacher Nation's Game 2 preview reported.
Tampa Bay's answer is right-hander Drew Rasmussen, who brings the strongest postseason line on either staff into the start: 2-0 with a 1.29 ERA, 23 strikeouts and a 0.76 WHIP over 21 postseason innings, with three quality starts, FOX Sports reported. Rasmussen is a former Brewers draft pick whom Milwaukee traded to Tampa Bay in 2021 in the deal for shortstop Willy Adames, Sports Illustrated reported, and the Rays held him for this start rather than using him in the opener.
Milwaukee counters with 24-year-old right-hander Logan Henderson, starting his third consecutive playoff series Game 2, the Journal Sentinel reported. Henderson is 0-0 with a 3.00 ERA over nine postseason innings, FOX Sports reported, backed by a Brewers staff that has posted a 2.02 ERA across nine postseason games. Contreras has driven the lineup, hitting .394 with three home runs and six RBIs this postseason, while Tampa Bay has leaned on Yandy Diaz and Jonathan Aranda, FOX Sports reported.
The series moves to Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida, for Game 3 on Monday, Oct. 26, with Game 4 on Tuesday, the Journal Sentinel's schedule listing shows. Neither franchise has ever won a World Series title, USA Today noted in its Game 2 watch guide. A Tampa Bay win Saturday evens the series at a game apiece; a Milwaukee win sends the Brewers to Florida up 2-0 and still unbeaten at home this postseason.
