Bears Beat the Champion Seahawks 34-17 on Monday Night Football Behind Three D'Andre Swift Touchdown Runs
Chicago (6-2) gained 363 yards at Lumen Field, Caleb Williams threw for 247 yards, Jeffery Simmons sacked Sam Darnold in his Bears debut, and Seattle's title defense fell to 4-4 in the Week 8 finale.

HOUSTON - The Chicago Bears closed Week 8 with a statement win on Monday night, beating the defending champion Seattle Seahawks 34-17 at Lumen Field.
Running back D'Andre Swift supplied the second-half finish, scoring on touchdown runs of 1, 5 and 5 yards and finishing with 27 carries for 69 yards. Quarterback Caleb Williams went 24-of-34 for 247 yards and a touchdown, and Chicago's offense gained 363 yards against a Seattle defense that had not allowed a 200-yard passing game all season before Monday.
The Bears' newest piece made the loudest defensive impression. Defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, acquired from the Tennessee Titans on Thursday, recorded a sack on his fourth snap with his new team and finished with six tackles as Chicago limited Seattle to 252 total yards. Sam Darnold completed just half of his 34 passes for 188 yards, with two touchdowns and an interception.
Chicago improved to 6-2, within a half-game of the NFC North lead, and has now beaten last season's two Super Bowl teams in back-to-back prime-time weeks. Seattle fell to 4-4 - its first loss of 2026 by more than three points - and returns home next Sunday to face Arizona. For Houston, the result is the final line on Week 8: the Texans, 2-5 out of their bye, resume Sunday at the Los Angeles Chargers.
